around the house part 2

I don't like posting unrelated photos but I'm getting behind so here goes:

So fun to see how much kids love to learn.

Did you know it's summer? I didn't till last Sunday. The first HOT day of the season...

Photobucket
...followed by the CRAZIEST storm of the season.

These are the clouds coming to get us from over the ocean. Ellie and I turned off all the lights to watch the lightning storm and the ensuing rain, rainbows and beautiful sunset.

Playing duck duck goose with Jessie. She is the only girl without kids that comes to our playdates. She plays with our kids and they love her, and us moms love her right back.

Photobucket
Overwhelmed with the daunting task of picking strawberries.

My kids and I had a date to UP a few weeks ago. It was so fun to be able to take them to the movies and enjoy it. This was the first time I've taken them to a movie..something that maybe we should do more often.

It's always either fun or frustrating to see what the kids do in the 1/2 hour between when they wake up and we wake up.

Our favorite post-workout or pre-selling drink. We have to thank the Wards for teaching us the you can basically put whatever you have in your fridge at the moment in your shake and it tastes good! This has flax, peanut butter, almonds, oats, spinach and kale along with the more normal smoothie ingredients.

My first tri of the year. It was also my first ocean swim...ever. I was really happy actually when I heard everyone yelling, "Shark! Shark!" in the water. Everyone turned around and went back in. I should have had a wetsuit, the waves were huge and I wanted to cry. I'm pretty sure the "shark" someone thought they saw was either a wetsuit or a dolphin which we have seen quite a bit.
This tri was a self-timing race - so not really a race. But it was fun because it was right outside our apartments and I was done by the time Justin had to leave for his 9:00 am meeting so he and the kids could watch.

It's because of your windows why your indoor pictures turn out so nice. I'm so jealous. While house hunting, I am looking for lots and lots of windows.

Love all those pictures! I can't believe you did a triathalon! That is amazing, great job!
